Our Mission

Educate. Engage. Empower.

The American Association of Service Coordinators (AASC) is a not-for-profit professional membership association and a national resource for service-enriched housing. Our 4,000+ members assist older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income families living in affordable housing communities to identify, locate, and acquire the supports needed to become and remain self-sufficient. AASC provides vital education, advocacy, best practices, leadership, and networking opportunities for our members.

Our Mission

Advancing national standards of practice for service coordination by amplifying the voice of our members

Our Vision

We are committed to enhancing service coordination through leadership, professional development, advocacy, and partnerships

During Advocacy Day, Service Coordinators got the chance to speak with staffers of their representative of Congress to discuss the importance of funding service coordination, affordable housing, and the vital resources their residents need to thrive in place.

Our Goals

Representing the concerns of Service Coordinators through interaction with Congress and federal agencies, and educate public and private agencies on the benefits and cost effectiveness of service coordination and service-enriched housing.

Look for and support alternative funding resources and collaborative partnerships that can be duplicated within other housing environments.

Enhance the professionalism of our constituents through training, conferences, and opportunities for peer networking in addition to providing information on best practice programs.

Provide members guidance in the development and implementation of national professional standards of practice and programmatic policies and procedures, ensuring program consistency and sound social work practice within existing housing regulations.

Work with and help strengthen existing local and statewide service coordination groups while assisting in the development of new ones.
