Nina Santarelli,
Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships
Nina Santarelli joined AASC in December 2020 as the senior director of strategic partnerships. With 13 years of experience across affordable senior housing, service coordination, permanent supportive housing, program management, and reporting, she leads special projects and strategic partnerships.
Nina began her career at North Central Mental Health as a community mental health case manager. Following her work at North Central, she began working in quality assurance at National Church Residences (NCR), utilizing her clinical skills to support service coordinators. In that role, Nina had the opportunity to assist in the development, training and reporting of a clinical documentation system. Later as the executive director of supportive services, she began attending national association meetings to advocate for standardized data points across service coordination, assisting in the development of the Enhanced Service Coordinator model.
She later transitioned to working in permanent supportive housing as the director of compliance at Community Housing Network. There she developed metrics and practices that lead to streamlined processes. Utilizing the data obtained, she created an organizational dashboard to improve performance, cross-departmental awareness and communication.
A Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio, Nina also earned a bachelor’s degree and Certificate in Leadership in Human Services Management from The Ohio State University.
As the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, Nina strengthens and explores national partnerships that align with our mission to uplift the Service Coordinator profession. She builds alliances with other organizations that provide valuable resources to our members, as well as financial opportunities that support AASC's revenue as a not-for-profit. Her leadership has led to unique partnerships, such as the formation of My Community Director, Quality Assurance Registry, and Core Connections sessions.
