The workshops and general sessions cover topics applicable for all affordable housing professionals – service coordinators, property managers, etc. All are welcome!
Where is the conference being held?
The 2019 National Service Coordinator Conference will be held August 11-14, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. All conference activities will take place at the Gaylord Rockies located at 6700 North Gaylord Rockies Blvd., Aurora, Colorado 80019. Aurora, Colorado is about 10 miles outside of Denver.
When does the conference begin and end?
Pre-conference Training: 9:00 a.m., Sunday, August 11
Main Conference: 6:30 a.m., Monday, August 12 – 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14

Do I have to be a member of AASC to attend?
No, AASC welcomes all affordable housing professionals at the conference. Feel free to invite your colleagues.
How do I register for the conference?
You may register online now through August 6. After this date, registration must be completed onsite at the conference.
What does my registration cover?
Registration fees include the following: workshops, general sessions, continental breakfast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and admission to the exhibit area and the Exhibitor Reception on Monday evening with light refreshments.
How do I select my schedule of workshops?
In June, all paid registrants will receive an email from AASC Support with instructions on how to log in to Agenda Builder (using the email and password you established when you registered for the conference). Contact us at email@example.com if you’ve paid, checked your junk and spam folders, and did not received an email. You must select your workshops in Agenda Builder before the start of the conference.
Can I earn continuing education credits at the conference?
Yes, conference general sessions and workshops are pending approval by the National Association of Social Workers for Social Worker continuing education credits. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 21 CEUs at the conference. Digital continuing education/attendance certificates with complete attendance transcripts are available for a $35 fee. Request your certificate here. If you have paid for a CEU/attendance certificate, you will receive an email with a link to your printable certificate/transcript within three weeks after the conference.
The conference can be especially helpful for first-year service coordinators at a HUD property, who are required to have a minimum of 36 hours of training in their first year on the job.
Are meals included with conference registration?
AASC will provide complimentary continental breakfast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning for conference attendees as well as light refreshments during the Exhibitor Reception and afternoon breaks in the exhibit area. Attendees are encouraged to review the list of nearby restaurants at the Registration desk for lunch and dinner.
Where is the nearest airport?
The Denver International Airport (DEN) is located at 8500 Pena Blvd., Denver, CO 80249 and services 175 destinations worldwide. As the nation’s fifth-busiest airport, DEN offers 206 nonstop domestic and international destinations.
What transportation options are available?
It’s easy to navigate Denver whether you opt for traditional transportation such as taxis, Uber or Lyft, use the ride-sharing program car2go, or explore the rail service.
The rail service is available between the historic Union Station and DEN with six stops in between. To reach the Gaylord Rockies by rail, take the A Line from the airport and get off at the first station (61st & Pena Station). Rail tickets for this zone cost $6 and can be purchased at user-friendly kiosks near the trains (follow the airport signs to get to the rail station). The Gaylord Rockies offers a complimentary shuttle from the 61st & Pena Station to the hotel (and back), running every 20 minutes. The rail service is also a great way to explore downtown Denver. Day passes cost $10.50 and will take you from the 61st & Pena Station to Union Station in less than 35 minutes.
The rail service serves as the transportation hub to access RTD’s front-range bus route, the 16th Street Mall Shuttle (free), the Downtown Denver Circulator (free), FasTracks light rail and Amtrak trains.
Where can I park at Gaylord Rockies?
The Gaylord Rockies has onsite valet parking for $14-39 daily (based upon the length of time) and self-parking for $29 daily.
What should I wear? What’s the weather like in Denver, Colorado, in August?
Attendees are encouraged to wear business casual attire with comfortable shoes. The temperature inside may vary from room to room, so you may consider bringing a sweater or dressing in layers to ensure that you’re comfortable. Denver in August averages a high of 85 with a low of 56.
What are the main attractions in Denver, Colorado?
There are plenty of things to do in the Mile High City. From downtown amusement parks to fascinating museums, Denver’s attractions deliver unique and unforgettable experiences.

What should I bring to the conference?
Conference attendees are welcome to bring digital devices, phone chargers, notepads and pens. Make sure to bring plenty of business cards for networking and raffles. AASC will provide a bag and badge holder for attendees.
Can I record workshops and general sessions?
No, AASC does not permit recording workshops or general sessions.
