As was reported in the November 22, 2016 AASC eBulletin, AASC is working directly with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on their new Standards for Success Pilot Project.

Standards for Success is HUD’s newly developed data collection and reporting framework for its discretionary grant programs. This pilot project is scheduled to start in January 2017.

HUD has chosen AASC Online as the first data system to partner with during this pilot project. This new project will help us to work even more closely with HUD to gather national data that demonstrates the success of service coordination.

AASC Online will have the new reporting requirements built into the system. Much like the current Semi-Annual Performance Report is built directly into AASC Online, our goal is for the new data report to be generated with a “one click” process.

Standards for Success is still in the early formation stages. As was reported previously, the first phase of the project was to involve only grant-funded service coordinators working with AASC and AASC Online. The project has been amended to include budget/operations-funded service coordinators using AASConline. If you are a service coordinator in Multifamily Housing for the Elderly and Disabled and use AASC Online, HUD will be inviting you to participate in Phase One of this pilot project. Phase One participants will get the advantage of helping to shape this new initiative, along with advanced training and preparation for the national roll out.

HUD has cancelled the Standards for Success Kickoff webinar on December 7 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM ET so as to update the pilot program to reflect the inclusion of budget/operations-funded service coordinators.

Watch for an email from HUD inviting you to participate in the pilot program and announcing the rescheduled kickoff webinar.
