This webinar will provide information about the symptoms of PTSD, identify common causes, address myths, and review evidence-based approaches to effectively treatment and prevent the development of PTSD.

2. Learn about what causes PTSD
3. Review basic information about Brief Emotional Support Therapy & Emotional First Aid, Trauma-Focused CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy)
About the Presenter
Arianna Galligher, LISW-S earned her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2005 at Ohio State University. She works full time at OSU Wexner Medical Center as a psychiatric counselor facilitating a mental health intensive outpatient program for adults at Harding Hospital. I also teach social work classes for OSU and for Capital University.
Years spent working with people living with HIV/AIDS, women, youth, and the LGBTQ community have served to reinforce the importance of humor, compassion, empowerment, honesty, diversity, individual expression, and community building in my work.
