On the surface, conversation seems easy enough. You talk, they talk back, right? But then you find yourself in one of those awkward situations where you're just not sure how to react or what to say, or you find yourself fidgeting, not listening, and looking for any excuse to end the conversation. Maybe you find yourself avoiding a certain topic or a conversation because it is embarrassing or awkward, and it is just easier to not have the conversation at all. This presentation will explore uncomfortable topics, such as hygiene, sex, and inappropriate behavior, and help participants develop skills that can be used during any awkward, uncomfortable, or difficult conversation.
Who Should Attend: All
1. Gain the skills needed to handle awkward conversations on topics like hygiene, sex, and inappropriate behavior
2. Learn how to identify personal triggers and recognize when emotions get in the way of communicating effectively and actively listening
3. Discover what makes a conversation difficult and how to prepare effectively for it
