08/20/2010 Conference Update

This just in! The upcoming 2010 National Service Coordinator Conference will now have a second Keynote Speaker during the Monday, August 30th Awards Luncheon.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) will now be a Keynote Speaker alongside Winthrop Marshall, VP Finance and CFO for Christian Church Homes of Northern California. Congresswoman Waters has been a fearless and outspoken advocate for women, children, people of color and the poor. She continues to be a member of the House Committee on Financial Services and the Chairwoman of its Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity. The Congresswoman is a great friend to AASC and received the 2008 Stephanie Tubbs Jones Public Service Award during the 2008 National Conference in Washington, DC for her contributions and leadership in the growth and expansion of affordable housing and the service coordinator profession.

Waters and Marshall will speak during the Awards Luncheon held from 12:30-2 p.m. The 2010 National Conference, held August 29-September 1, will be held at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, CA. For more conference information, click here.

PSC Exam Now Online

AASC and Ohio State are proud to announce a new, convenient and affordable option to those interested in taking the comprehensive exam and achieving their Professional Service Coordinator (PSC) designation. The comprehensive exam is now available on-line at a college testing center near your home and/or office. Candidates who prefer to take the paper/pencil exam at a conference site may still do so, but when you consider that the cost of travel (airfare or mileage), hotel stays and incidentals can easily exceed $1000, the online exam offers substantial savings.
