Other Training Opportunities

SAGE (Series in Applied Gerontology Education) SAGE is a three-course distance learning program offered by the Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology at The Ohio State University which provides continuing education and training in the field of aging. Throughout the series of three internet-based courses, special attention is devoted to issues of social, cultural, and ethnic diversity.

All students successfully completing SAGE receive 15 hours of continuing education and a Certificate of Completion in Gerontology from The Ohio State University.

SAGE is appropriate for Service Coordinators working with older adult and disabled populations and since the courses are internet-based they allow flexibility of learning "where and when it's convenient," accommodating busy professional and personal lifestyles.
